The American Revolutionary War of 2013

The American Revolutionary War of 2013

American RevolutionI read political articles and commentary all the time.  Most are quite liberal, some moderate and a few conservative.  I read the different sides and opinions on the same topics and in the past few days, I’ve had an overwhelming sense 2013 just might be the year of the next American Revolutionary War.

One political commentator has suggested that poor people might start to riot and rebel against the government demanding more handouts.  He points our attention to what took place in Argentina this past December.

Argentina’s President Christina Kirchner has spent billions of dollars assisting the poorer people of her country.  They have provided free health care and many other benefits for them.  In their struggling economy, activists convinced the people that they were entitled to more than what the government was giving them.  They got to people to believe that they should receive free food and more, so they rioted, blocked the entrances to grocery stores and began looting the city of Rosario.  Two people were killed and 137 arrested.  Local news showed video of men, women and children hauling away food, televisions and even refrigerators.

The commentator then asks the question if America’s poor might do the same and goes so far as to suggest the possibility of a revolution.  But I don’t think America’s poor has the where-with-all to stage a revolution against the government.

However, there is a very large number of Americans that do have the where-with-all to stage a revolution and if Obama and Biden continue as they have been this past couple of weeks that revolution could very easily erupt this year.  Both Obama and Biden have made no secret of their intent to ignore the Second Amendment of the US Constitution and begin banning all kinds of guns, ammunition and clips.

Biden and other leading Democrats are urging Obama to use an Executive Order to bypass Congress and enforce his strict gun control policy.  If that happens and authorities are ordered to start confiscating guns from American citizens, there will be bloodshed and loss of lives.  I can’t tell you how many gun owners I know that will not give up their guns without a fight, and I don’t mean using fists.

According to the US Census Bureau population clock, there just over 315 million people in the US.  Most of the reports I’ve seen this past year puts the number of firearms in the US at around 300 million.  I contend that it’s much higher than that because the government doesn’t know about many guns that were already here prior to having to fill out paperwork nor do they know how many guns have been brought into the country by one means or another.

A number of people will be like sheep being led to the slaughter and turn over their guns at first request.  However, there are millions of other Americans that will stand and fight like a mother bear defending her cubs, and those fights are often to the death of the mother bear or the aggressor.

If Obama takes the actions that he is threatening to take and then sends his Gestapo to enforce it, I guarantee that it will spark a new American Revolution and the streets will run red with the blood of citizens and those who try to take their guns away.  There is a well-armed militia that consists of gun owners and they will fight for their constitutional rights and freedoms.  In the end, we will either win back a free America or Obama’s socialistic government will be firmly established.  I pray for a free America, but fear the later may prevail.

God help us all when the first bullets are fired and war begins.
